Aled Brew has four months to prove he deserves a long-term contract with Bath Rugby.
The former Wales winger has arrived at the club on a four-month trial, having parted ways with Newport Gwent Dragons.
The 30-year-old, who also played 7s for Wales, started training at Farleigh House on Tuesday.
Head coach Tabai Matson said: "We knew we were probably a little thin in the outside backs.
