Gloucester Rugby are delighted to welcome tight-head prop, Alfie Petch, to Kingsholm.
Petch is a product of the Exeter Chiefs Academy and spent valuable time on loan at Cornish Pirates in the RFU Championship whilst there.
Whilst in the Exeter ranks, he gained international experience with England U17s, U18s and U20s, taking part in the Junior World Championship in Argentina with the latter.
He moved to the Midlands ahead of the 2022/23 season, joining Northampton Saints, but departed last summer after 21 appearances in Green, Black and Gold.
The prop spent last season in the Basque Country, joining Biarritz in Pro D2 as a medical joker.
Director of Rugby, George Skivington, said:
“We’re really pleased to bring Alfie here to Kingsholm.
“He’s already had plenty of experience at Exeter, Northampton, Cornish Pirates and Biarritz, and he’s still got plenty of development left in him.
“We’ve got a good group of props here and I’m looking forward to seeing that competition drive each other’s game forward.”
