Abendanon wins European player award

Clermont full-back Nick Abendanon has been named European Player of the Year.
The 28-year-old helped his French club to the final of the European Rugby Champions Cup, scoring a fine solo try in
the 24-18 defeat by Toulon.
It is the third year in a row an Englishman has won the award after fly-half Jonny Wilkinson (2013) and flanker Steffon Armitage (2014).
