A member of Scottish Rugby's Regional Academy in 2011/12 and 2012/13, he was a member of the Scotland under-18 squad in 2011/12 and won man of the match in the game against Wales before continuing in the squad for season 2012/13 and has 11 caps at U18 level. The versatile forward, equally at home in the back-row or at lock, joins an impressive list of locking options at the club and will call upon the experience of Scotland internationalist Grant Gilchrist as he looks to break into the Edinburgh Rugby side.
