Megan Rom picked up rugby when she was 15 after watching rugby videos online and being inspired to play. Also a softball and discuss player, Rom's athletic background helped her easily adopt rugby and find success in USA Rugby's age-grade programs.
As a rugby player in college, Rom was selected for the USA Under-20s in 2016 and Collegiate All-Americans 2017-18. In November of 2018, she earned her first cap with the U.S. Women's National Team 15s against New Zealand at The Rugby Weekend in Chicago.
By June 2019, Rom has two test caps.
