Richard Brown takes a great line off Mathewson from the ruck to burst through, and when he is hauled down Brussow concedes a penalty at the breakdown for hands in the ruck.
Great passage of play begins with a huge hit from Alcott on Ebersohn to turn the ball over, but the ball is won back by the Cheetahs, and Rhule breaks out. Good hands from Ebersohn release Brussow down the left, but he is caught in the 22 and the ball goes out of play.
Go Cheetahs!!!!
This is not a great advertisement for Super rugby!
5 minutes into the second half, the high tempo hasn't continued, with a number of handling errors and penalties disrupting the flow of the game.
Come on Cheetahs, bag this one!
The ref calls time on a very good first half of rugby. The Force will be frustrated not to be further ahead after having most of the possession and chances, going very close at the end after a big carry from Godwin. The Cheetahs went close once to a try but have been on the back foot for most of the game. Despite this there is still just 1 point between the teams so its still all to play for in Perth.
Huge mistake from the Cheetahs. Having just gone ahead they attempt to run the ball out of their own 22, are turned over, allowing the Force to spread the ball wide to Stanley who finishes on the corner.
The Cheetahs finally get intp the game, with a great attack stemming from carries by Sadie and Rhule, which looks certain to score until the referee penalises Toby Lynn of the Force for side entry. Smit opens the scoring.
After 20 minutes the game is still scoreless, but it's been lively with the Force doing all the attacking. They have gone close a number of times but a mixture of indiscipline and good Cheetahs defence is keeping them out.
