I can’t fault the IRB for protecting players, it’s only a game in the end of the day! And these boys don’t get payed near enough as football players

I’d of smashed him like Liam Williams had done. But unfortunately, slow mo and that camera angle and Liam’s momentum, made it look really bad!
The players safety in the game is paramount and that what the IRB are intending to do!

Would you tackle the ankles of a player in their try line when he’s dived and crouched for the ball?

it's just the rules is the thing dave. playing rugby I've tipped tackled because the momentum takes them over the vertical but I still wouldn't complain getting a yellow. it's the law like and as a professional more than anyone they'd know to go for the ankles rather than the head

agreed.... it's happened to me... especially when you hit a shorter player
