LV cup is **** anyway...

Well that is all we have time for in what was a good win for Northampton in tough, windy conditions at the Parc Y Scarlets with the England champions making it two wins from two in the LV Cup. as for Scarlets they lose their first game in the tournament in a game they will be disappointed in with their lack of discipline and poor scrummaging losing them the game. Scarlets will now look to bounce back from this defeat when they take on the Cardiff Blues next weekend while The Saints will hope to make it 3 wins from 3 when they host the Exeter Chiefs. Thanks for tuning into tonight's game and enjoy the rest of the Rugby over the weekend.

Scarlets attempted to run from their own 22 with Williams kicking ahead for Evans but the ball bounces into touch to end proceedings with Northampton winning 24-7.

Saints looked destined to go over for the 4th try after some good work from Stephenson and Foden but Nutley loses the ball in the tackle and Scarlets now have.

Saints up the field now as they push for the 4 try bonus point.

Josh Lewis like quite a lot of Scarlets players tonight knocks the ball forward and Saints have the scrum in what will be the last play of the game.

Scarlets with all the ball now as they push for a late consolation try.

Scarlets win the penalty and kick for the corner. But like they have done all night they make yet another error as they concede a penalty for obstruction in the lineout and Mallinder gets the ball clear.

Dickson gets the tackle in on Davies just short of the line and when Shingler eventually dives for the line he thinks he has scored but the TMO doesn't give the try and Scarlets get a 5 metre scrum.

After a promising break from Evans, Scarlets concede the penalty. Shingler kicks to the corner.
