Half time! We've reached half time here at the Franklins Gardens and it's the home side that are leading at the interval 7-6. A superb half of rugby, with both sides failing to capitalize on the majority of their attacks due to costly handling errors and poor discipline. The only try of the game so far goes to Samu Manoa, after the Saints used the rolling maul to great effect. There is very little between these two sides and with 40 minutes of rugby left to play, this is anyone's game. Stay tuned for live updates of the second half.
Last play of the half is a Harlequins scrum.
Great defending by Harlequins, forcing the knock on and earning the put in to the scrum.
Saints building the phases on the 5m line, using their forwards to pick off the base of the ruck.
Great line by Ken Pisi! The winger comes off his touchline to run a superb run through the middle and nearly scores the try had it not been by some great defending by Ugo Monye.
Evans closes the deficit to just 1 point.
Calum Clark pinged for playing the ball off his feet. Evans goes for the posts.
Quins respond quickly by recovering their kick off.
TRY! Samu Manoa scores the first try of the game. Saints maul off the line out and force Harlequins back over their own try line. The flanker takes the ball from the back of the maul and goes over to give his side the lead. Stephen Myler adds the extras.
Lee Dickson and George Pisi link up well on the wing and nearly capitalize with a try. They earn a penalty for their troubles and go for the line out on the 5m.
