Very quick response from the Chiefs. The Rebels collect the restart and send the ball to O'Connor to clear. But Retallick gets his hands to the kick and blocks down. The ball trickles over the try-line and the big lock forward swoops on it for the try.

After missing seven matches, Beale returns to the Rebels and sparks a crucial try. O'Connor takes the ball mid-field and feeds back inside to Beale. Beale fends off a Chief defender and darts through the line.
He then returns the ball to O'Connor who zips a pass out to Phipps on the wing. Try.

Rebels are rewarded for their persistence. They build their way back into the Chiefs' twenty-two, O'Connor prominent in the attack. They sweep the ball back to Pyle who bundles through a pack of defenders and touches down for his second. O'Connor converts and the gap narrows to ten.
