It's not to be for Newcastle! A knock-on from Barrow calls an end to play and the ref blows his final whistle. An interesting encounter this afternoon in the Madejski Stadium with Irish securing what was a deserved victory - 22-21 the final score. 2 early tries from Halani Aulika and Scott Steele gave the home side an early lead, going in to the break 19 points to 6 up. However, a spirited second half performance from the visitors saw them claw their way back in to the game but ultimately it was not to be for the Falcons. Particular credit must go to Sinoti Sinoti who was the spark in Newcastle's revival this afternoon. That's all from us here but please tune in again soon for some more live rugby coverage
not convincing win but I'll take that! C'mon you Irish!
