Gloucester will want to start as they mean to go on. After an underwhelming season that saw them finish 8th in the table, getting this season of to a winning start is paramount and David Humphreys is confident he has the squad to make a big statement here tonight.
With the wounds of the Tigers' play off defeat last season still fresh they will no doubt be hungry for another stab at premiership rugby. Tigers defeated Gloucester both home and away last season and will be confident that they can hit the ground running this evening. New signings JP Pieterson and Luke Hamilton make their debuts in the Leicester colours while Scottish centre Matt Scott lines up for Gloucester for the first time.
