England have won 10 of their last 13 Six Nations matches against France, all three losses in that time coming in Paris however.

France have crossed for just six tries in their last six home games against England in the Six Nations enough for three wins and three defeats.

England have won 10 of their last 11 opening round fixtures in the Six Nations, their sole loss in this run however was when they travelled to Paris to play France in 2014; France have lost their last three opening round fixtures.

England scored 24 tries in the 2019 Six Nations, eight more than any other side and twice as many as France (12) managed, Eddie Jones’ men also made the most breaks (67).

The 2019 Six Nations saw England concede just 29 penalties in total, eight fewer than any other side whilst France conceded the most (47).

Of the 10 Tier 1 nations, only the All Blacks (88.4%) managed a higher tackle success rate than France in 2019 across all matches (88%).

England averaged 7.7 turnovers won per game across all Test matches in 2019, the best rate of any Tier 1 side, conversely only Australia (18.6) conceded more per game than France (16.8).

Jonny May made 26 clean breaks for England in 2019 across all Test matches, only Josh Adams (28) made more in international rugby, whilst only Adams (10) and Mazahole Mapimpi (10) scored more tries than May (9).

Jamie George (England) has a 92% throw success rate (80/87) at the lineout in the Six Nations, the best rate of any of the 43 hookers to take 30+ throws in the Championship.

England will be without Billy Vunipola for this year’s Six Nations, the Saracens number 8 made over 50 carries more (198) than any other player in international rugby in 2019, he was also the top metre making forward (522) from a Tier 1 side and Jake Polledri (52) was the only Tier 1 forward to beat more defenders than him (35).
