And there you have it. Connacht get off to a great start and come out on top in their first game of the season with a 16-11 win at home over the Newport Dragons. Some nice rugby played over the past 80 mins but it was the 2 yellow card for the Dragons that separated the sides and gave Connacht that extra strength to hold onto their lead even when Dragons fight back within the last 2 minutes.
