He is baths 3rd choice inside centre
FULL-TIME: The home side run out winners this afternoon at The Rec with a 24-13 winning margin. It was no easy encounter for the home side with The Blues dominating for long spells of the first half. But the home side took their chances when they came. Bath used the rolling-maul to devastating effect today with three of the their four try's coming off the back of the maul. Cardiff were at odds and unable to handle the bigger Bath pack. Even with all the possession and territory they enjoyed in the first half, the Welsh side were unable to make it count on the score board. An excellent try late on from fullback Dan Fish, the standout player for the Blues today, was not enough to effect the outcome of the game. Bath have successfully qualified for the semi-final stage but will still need to get a result at Welford Road next weekend to ensure a home semi. Thanks for staying with our live coverage this afternoon.
Best inside back?! Dreaming
TRY CARDIFF: Dan Fish runs in for a superb score from the Blues. A great individual try from the full-back is converted by Humberstone to close the gap to 11. Too little too late though
Who told cardiff Luke Hamilton is good enough to play above semi pro ?
TRY BATH: Once again the Bath maul proves too strong for the Cardiff pack. Try Mercer. Heathcote unable to add the conversion
It's a Bath lineout in the Blues 22 as the home side go in search of the try bonus point
Cardiff opt for the scrum. The Blues are unable to make the most of the resulting scrum and give away a penalty. Bath clear their lines
YELLOW CARD BATH: The driving maul comes from Cardiff off the back of the line-out. Bath are unable to handle the rolling maul and Devoto gives away a professional foul. Yellow card, no complaints here
But they butcher the opportunity on hand. Penalty to Cardiff though as Bath step offside in defence. Cardiff opt for the corner.
