Lautaro Bazán Vélez is an Argentine professional rugby union player who currently serves as a scrum-half. He was born on 24 February 1996. Bazán Vélez plays for the Top10 club Rovigo Delta and represents the Argentina national team.
Bazán Vélez has a background in 15-a-side rugby union, having represented Argentina at the junior level. He achieved bronze at the 2016 U20 World Championships held in England. He also won gold at the 2019 Pan American Games in Lima, Peru.
In recognition of his talent, Bazán Vélez was included in the Argentina squad for rugby sevens at the 2020 Summer Olympics.
In the summer of 2022, he was named in the full Argentina squad for the national team. He had previously represented Argentina from 2016 to 2020. In November 2022, he received another call-up to the full Argentina squad while they were touring the northern hemisphere.
