Duffy, who has been working as Elite Player Development Officer in the successful Connacht Rugby Academy since 2011, joined the province’s coaching team from the start of pre-season in 2015.

Connacht Rugby appointed Duffy as their Forwards coach in 2015 and confirmed his re-signing in 2019 for a further two years.

In March 2021, Connacht confirmed that Duffy would depart the province at the end of the season.
