While studying Sport Science and Management degree Fields found time to ply his trade at hooker for Loughborough Students. This was after his time at Bath Academy.
Fields joined the Blues at the end of the 2015/16 season after an untimely injury to Sam James.
He continued to bind the scrums together for the Blues in the 2016/17 season.
