Harriet hit the headlines in the 2013 Six Nations tournament when lining up against her sister, Bridget, who was in the Scotland squad. Stockport-born Harriet was schooled at Bramhall High and Wilmslow Sixth Form College and began playing at Manchester RFC at full back and wing before switching to centre and then to the back row.
Her storming two-try performance in England’s 32-0 win over Scotland in the opening Six Nations Championship match this year deservedly brought Harriet the player of the match kudos – the first time she had achieved the accolade.
She has also appeared for Chester, Sandbach and Lichfield, the club she joined in 2009 before switching to Waterloo. Harriet studied Sports Technology at Loughborough University and is now training to become a maths teacher.
Harriet was announced the Women's Player's Player of the Season at the Premiership awards on May 18th 2016.
Ahead of the 2017 Women's World Cup, she has made 46 appearances for the Red Roses.
