Fritz Lee

29th Aug 1988 1.90m/110kg No. 8

Fritz Lee had a dream start to the 2012 ITM Cup, scoring two tries in the opening game for his Tana Umaga coached Counties Manukau side. In round four he incurred a season ending arm injury.

Despite not getting much game time over the last year, Lee showed he is a team player by bringing his physical edge and pushing hard behind the scenes. He has appeared for the All Blacks Sevens team and know for his aggression and determination with ball in hand.

Lee signed a three-year deal with Clermont in 2013. The powerful No. 8 has become a driving force in the Clermont back-row.

Lee was nominated for European Player of the Year for the 2014/15 campaign, Lee helped guide Clermont to the final of the Champions Cup, where they were ousted by French-rival Toulon.
