Edoardo Padovani, born on May 15, 1993, is an Italian professional rugby union player primarily known for his skills as a fullback. He currently plays for Benetton in the United Rugby Championship. Padovani has also represented Italy at the international level, making his test debut against England during the 2016 Six Nations Championship.

Throughout his career, he has played for clubs such as Mogliano, Zebre Parma, Toulon, and Benetton.

Padovani began his club career with Mogliano, playing for them during the 2012-2013 and 2013-2014 seasons. During his time with Mogliano, he played 32 games, scoring 69 points. He then joined Zebre for the 2014/15 season, where he played 13 games and scored 11 points in the Pro12.

He also represented Zebre in the European Rugby Challenge Cup (EPCR), playing three games and scoring 25 points. Padovani continued to play for Zebre in the following seasons, making appearances in both the Pro12 and the EPCR.

In the 2016-2017 season, Padovani decided not to renew his contract with Zebre and signed with Toulon, a French club. However, his time with Toulon was short-lived, and he was released from his contract in December 2017. Padovani then returned to Zebre, signing with them once again in December 2017.

However, in April 2020, he left Zebre and joined Benetton in the Pro14 ahead of the 2020-21 season. He signed a deal with Benetton until June 2022, and later re-signed with the club until 2024.

At the international level, Padovani has represented Italy in various capacities. He played for the Italy U20 team in 2012 and 2013 and also featured for Emerging Italy in 2014. He made his test debut for the Italian national team in the 2016 Six Nations Championship against England.

Padovani was included in Italy's final 31-man squad for the 2019 Rugby World Cup. He has earned a total of 24 caps for Italy, participating in three Six Nations tournaments and the Rugby World Cup.

Padovani is recognized for his versatility, with the ability to play at fly half, fullback, and in the centres. He has made valuable contributions to both club and country throughout his career and continues to be a key player for Benetton and the Italian national team.
