Connacht deserve kudos for giving AIL players a chance and in former UCD centre David McSharry they have unearthed a gem. The 20 year old, who was born in Dublin, has represented Leinster’s academy as well as Ireland at under 18 and under 20 levels and his versatility, McSharry is equally at home at 12 or 13, should prove valuable to Connacht over the coming years.
