Once feared as the Wallabies toughest outside back, Clyde Rathbone will be hoping to regain some of the world-class form that saw him rise to the top of Australian rugby midway through last decade. A strong ball carrier, Rathbone is best known for his aggressive presence around the field and tremendous leg strength. An able defender, Rathbone adds unshakable toughness to any side’s backline having been bought up through the school of hard knocks in Durban, South Africa. Emigrating Down Under in 2003 thanks to his Aussie heritage, Rathbone quickly adapted to the Australian way of life and was a favourite for Wallabies and Brumbies fans between 2004 and 2009.
