Playing for England U16, U17 and U19 gave Billy Walker the taste for international rugby. An Essex boy, born in Romford, he is a member of Saracens Academy.
His dad Gary was in the Eton Manor first team for 15 years, two of them as captain and Billy’s brothers Jamie and George also played rugby – Jamie for Essex Youth and Eton Manor and George for Chelmsford.
Billy helped his side to clinch the U18 crown at the Academy Finals in February last year with one of two late tries in the 23-19 defeat of defending champions Northampton Saints.
In June 2015, Billy became one of the first young players from Saracens to go on loan to Ampthill, newly promoted to National One. Two months later, he made his England U18 debut against France and played in all three matches during the tour of South Africa.
