Ulupano Junior Seuteni, born on December 9, 1993, is a professional rugby union player who plays as a centre. Although born in Australia, he represents Samoa at the international level due to eligibility grounds. Currently, he plays for the Top 14 club La Rochelle.
Seuteni's rugby career started at a young age when he was named in the Reds Extended Playing Squad for the 2012 Super Rugby season at just 17 years old. Despite being in his final year of school, he made the squad but unfortunately missed most of the season due to injury. He retained his place in the Reds EPS for the 2013 season.
He also represented the Australia Under 20 side in the 2012 IRB Junior World Championship held in South Africa, making four appearances and converting two tries during the tournament.
Seuteni's versatility and skills allowed him to play comfortably in different positions such as centre, fullback, and flyhalf. His performances in the Junior World Championship and with the Reds caught the attention of Top 14 team Toulon, and he joined the club in 2014. After two years with Toulon, he moved to Oyonnax, helping them secure promotion to the Top 14 and representing them in their return to the top division during the 2017/18 season.
Following Oyonnax's relegation to the PROD2, Seuteni signed a two-year deal with Union Bordeaux ahead of the 2018/19 season. In 2019, he received a call-up to the Samoa national squad for the Pacific Nations Cup, showcasing his talent and earning recognition at the international level.
Seuteni's journey in professional rugby has taken him from Australia to France, where he continues to make an impact with his skills and versatility in the backline for La Rochelle in the Top 14.
