Te Toiroa Tahuriorangi, commonly known as "Triple T," is a highly skilled rugby union player from New Zealand. Born on March 31, 1995, Tahuriorangi is a half-back who currently plays for Taranaki in the Mitre 10 Cup and the Crusaders in Super Rugby. He has also represented the All Blacks at the international level.

Tahuriorangi hails from Rotorua and has tribal connections to Ngāti Pikiao and Ngāti Whakaue. He attended Rotorua Primary School and later Rotorua Boys High School, where he excelled in rugby. His performances caught the attention of selectors, and he was selected for various representative teams.

After completing his high school education, Tahuriorangi moved to Taranaki and joined the New Plymouth Old Boys Premier Team in 2014-15. His exceptional skills and contributions earned him recognition, and he was selected for the New Zealand U20 team, which went on to win the World Rugby Junior World Championship in 2015. He also had the privilege of representing the NZ Barbarians, who secured a victory over the Maori All Blacks with a score of 34-17.

In 2015, Tahuriorangi was included in the Taranaki lineup for the ITM Cup and the Hurricanes lineup for the Super Rugby season of 2016. He made his Super Rugby debut for the Hurricanes in March 2016 and made further appearances throughout the 2017 season, including a historic match against the British and Irish Lions.

Having proved his skills and potential, Tahuriorangi was called up to play for the Maori All Blacks in 2017 against the British and Irish Lions. Later that year, he signed a two-year deal with the Chiefs, reuniting with coach Colin Cooper, under whom he had previously played for Taranaki. He continued to impress on the field, making appearances for both the Chiefs and the Maori All Blacks.

In May 2018, Tahuriorangi received his first call-up to the All Blacks squad for the June Internationals. He made his test debut against Argentina and scored his first test try in a dominant victory. In 2019, he announced his contract extension with New Zealand Rugby until 2021. Tahuriorangi accumulated 42 caps for the Chiefs during the Super Rugby seasons.

In May 2020, Tahuriorangi signed a deal with Bay of Plenty, and later in August 2021, he joined the Crusaders for the 2022 Super Rugby campaign, having signed a contract with the team. His exceptional skills, versatility, and experience make him a valuable asset in the half-back position, and his journey in rugby continues to be one of success and promise.
