Ryan is a United States Army veteran who spent four years on active duty. He played Rugby League for the US National Team and served as captain. Ryan spent time in Canada and London playing professionally for the Toronto Wolfpack and the Barrow Raiders at fullback, center, and wing. Most recently, he has played rugby union with NOVA Rugby RFC.
