WP coach John Dobson extends his contract

Western Province Currie Cup-winning coach John Dobson has been rewarded with a new contract at the union, Sport24 reports.

According to the report, Dobson had signed for another three years. 

Assistant and backline coach Dawie Snyman, defence coach Norman Laker and technical analyst Human Kriek have also signed on for another three years. 

Dobson's first Currie Cup title at Western Province came in the October 28 final, where his men overturned a 21-15 half-time deficit to beat the Sharks 33-21 in Durban thanks largely to stand-out performances from centre Huw Jones, flyhalf Robert du Preez and a dominant scrum. 

Dobson has previously won the Vodacom Cup and SuperSport Challenge.
