Wild child Manu Tuilagi needs to grow up to restore a reputation in tatters and England career

First the ferry jump in Auckland Harbour in 2011, now the disciplinary high jump with England, Manu Tuilagi’s World Cup experiences are nothing of which to be proud, the Leicester centre managing to book-end two tournaments with wild and unseemly behaviour.

This latest episode is, of course, far more heinous, and shows that Tuilagi learnt little from his previous rapped-knuckle escapade.

This sanction will certainly hit home.
