Pablo Matera led his side to history on Saturday as Argentina claimed their first-ever victory over New Zealand in Sydney.
The Pumas captain put in a fantastic performance for his country starring on both sides of the ball while also winning key penalties for Argentina at the breakdown.

The All Blacks just won a penalty but a moment of ill-discipline from hooker Dane Coles saw the penalty go Argentina's way instead. Coles slapped an Argentina player which triggered Matera into action as he flew into Coles with the pair pushing and shoving thereafter.
One the dust had settled Garnder awarded the penalty to Los Pumas and singled out Matera saying that he should lead by example with the Pumas captain responding:
"They must show some respect, I'm playing for my country".
