Watch: Hurricanes lock bamboozles SBW with a lovely step
- 1918
The Blues let a 19-point lead slip in their final Super Rugby match of the season as a weakened Hurricanes side fought back to score 25 unanswered points to beat the Blues 29-24 at Westpac Stadium.
Fletcher Smith's inclusion shortly after the break was a real turning point as he scored a try in the 45th minute set up another soon after as the Hurricanes drew within 5 points of the Blues.
Peter Umaga-Jensen scored another after the hour mark before Jackson Garden-Bachop closed the game out with a penalty with 4 minutes left to play.
One of the tries of the game came from second rower Isaia Walker-Leawere.

Garden-Bachop chipped over the Blues defence for Fletcher Smith who found the rampaging lock in support. Walker-Leawere sprinted into the 22 before stepping Sonny Bill Williams on his way to the try line to score a try he will certainly remember for some time.
