Prop Uini Atonio will not face New Zealand this Saturday evening at the Stade de France
The bad news is piling up for the French team as they are already deprived of François Cros, Damian Penaud and Théo Attissogbe to challenge New Zealand, the Blues will also have to do without Uini Atonio.
Having suffered a calf injury a few weeks ago in Montpellier with La Rochelle, the right-hander is not yet fit to return to competition. Although in the group of 42 this week, the Maritime player did not train on Tuesday . William Servat made his withdrawal official at a press conference. Atonio is nevertheless expected for the third test, scheduled for November 22 against Argentina.
Against Japan, it was Tevita Tatafu who wore the number 3 jersey in the absence of Atonio. The Bayonnais could therefore continue against New Zealand and experience his second cap with the French XV. This Tuesday, he trained with the starters. On the bench, everything suggests that we will find Georges-Henri Colombe, who was already a substitute against the Japanese.
The French team's line-up to face the All Blacks will be revealed by Fabien Galthié this Thursday.
