Jake Polledri

The Gloucester flanker had a busy game as he made the most of a rare start for the Azzurri. 

He made 15 carries beating 7 defenders and completed three offloads.

He wasn't just effective on the attack but completed 10 tackles as well and was a threat at the breakdown.

Polledri's efforts were rewarded with a try. 

Amanaki Mafi

As expected Mafi made a huge impact off the bench for Japan making 13 carries during the 40 minutes he was on the pitch.

He made 55 running metres, beating 2 defenders and scored his second try in as many weeks for the national side.

Tommaso Allen

The 25-year-old flyhalf dictated his attack brilliantly and his accurate boot proved to be the difference between the two sides.

Jayden Hayward

Some brilliant attacking runs showing good pace and a superb break to set up the opening try. 

Hayward also topped the running metres in the match making 96 running metres and beat 5 defenders on his way to two clean breaks.
