An outstanding second-half performance by Lyon as they scored 35 unanswered points to beat Stade Francais 41-6. Lionel Beauxis converted two penalties to Morne Steyn's penalty and drop goal as the sides went into the break level. The second half belonged to Lyon as they persisted on turning down the three and going for tries instead. Toby Arnold was on the end of a pinpoint skip pass from Beauxis to score the first try of the game before Albertus Buckle powered over the line following a superb carry from Deon Fourie, who was sensational off the bench. Mathieu de Giovanni made was sin-binned for a professional penalty and Stade played the price almost immediately as Lyon earned a penalty try from the resulting scrum. Stade claimed the restart following that try and they looked to spread the ball wide but Charlie Ngatai was aware of the threat and picked off Jules Plisson's pass to run it in under the sticks. Noa Nakaitaci was on hand to punish Djibril Camara's blunder from a grubber kick to secure the bonus point win for the home side who get back to winning ways after three consecutive defeats in all competitions.
