Tian banned for threatening the referee
Oyannax wing Silvere Tian has received a ban that is active until June 30, 2017, following his "threatening actions or words" towards referee Romain Poite in Oyonnax's loss to Grenoble in the Top 14.
Tian was initially given a yellow card for an infringement which started his verbal tirade, but Tian's reaction saw Poite change his sanction to a red card, after which the wing resulted in more verbal abuse and threats.
The ban could spell the end of Tian's career as he will be a month short of his 37th birthday when it expires, and will also be out of contract by then.
Jonny May had to watch from the sidelines as England claimed a first 6 Nations Grand Slam in 13 years.
The Gloucester Rugby winger suffered a knee injury during a Premiership Rugby draw with Harlequins in December, which required surgery and ruled him out of action until the end of the season.
May is hopeful that once he is back in full form he can earn back his spot in the England jersey.
"I just need to get my head down now, do the work and show Jones that I can get fit for the start of next season and put my hand up for international selection."
Leinster wing Fergus McFadden has been suspended for three weeks due to an illegal tackle in last weekend's 30-23 win over Edinburgh.
The 29-year-old denied committing act of foul play, but the disciplinary committee found that he was guilty of committing "an act of foul play by recklessly carrying out a high and dangerous tackle."
McFadden has therefore been issued with a three-week ban and will not be available to play until Monday 23 May, making him unavailable for Leinster's final two regular season Pro 12 games.
