This weekend in The Championship.

Round 11 is here, with 10 teams in action across Friday and Saturday, and it all kicks off tonight at Goldington Road as Bedford Blues host London Scottish in the opening match of the round. 

Bedford Blues and London Scottish suffered narrow defeats in Round 10, and both will be desperate to post wins tonight, not least The Exiles, who, astonishingly, have lost their last three by two point margins - with two of those defeats decided by all-or-nothing last-minute penalties. 

Cambridge and Caldy meet for the first time at Championship level in what promises to be an unpredictable 11th v 9th clash at Ellgia Fields. The two sides have met before in the National Leagues, with The Ravers coming out on top in four of those meetings. 

Ampthill's fixture against Ealing Trailfinders was postponed due to a frozen pitch last weekend, and The Mob now travel to the in-form Hartpury, who dispatched Caldy 31-7 at Paton Field in Round 10. There has been little between the two sides in recent meetings, with the last three results reading 32-26 Ampthill, 20-12 Hartpury, 21-20 Ampthill. Saturday's clash at the Alpas Arena points towards another close match as 6th take on 7th with both sides currently sitting on 22 points. 

Coventry will be looking to extend their run at the top of the table when they take on Cornish Pirates at Butts Park Arena. The Pirates have traditionally had the better of this fixture, posting 18 wins from 24 previous meetings, but face a resurgent Coventry side who have won their last four matches in The Championship. 

Ealing Trailfinders and Doncaster Knights meet in another blockbuster clash in West London. The sides have already met once this season, in their Premiership Cup pool phase clash, which the Trailfinders won 34-32. The Knights won this fixture two seasons ago, but will face a highly-motivated Trailfinders side on Saturday, who will be desperate to avoid any further slip-ups en route to their bid to reclaim The Championship title.
