Super Rugby Round 9 HIGHLIGHTS: Rebels v Jaguares
- 1783
A fantastic win for the Jaguares after a few travel issues from Argentina. The Jaguares started the game well and put the Rebels under pressure and went in the lead through Nicolas Sanchez's boot. The Rebels scored two tries nine minutes apart with Meakes dotting down for the first and Marika Koroibete for the second. That saw the Rebels lead 14-6 into the break. Sanchez converted another penalty after the break before Dane Haylett-Petty scored from a brilliant set piece move. Sebastian Cancelliere then scored for the Jagaures 10 minutes into the second half. Ramiro Moyano scored the Jagaures second 7 minutes later when he bashed over in the corner. Jack Debreczeni extended the Rebels lead to 4 points with 15 minutes left to play but Bautista Ezcurra cancelled that out with a try 10 minutes later with the Jagaures leading by 3 points into the final minutes of the match. The Rebels had a chance to draw the match in the final minute of the match after taking the ball through more than 30 phases but opted for the scrum instead of an easy three points. The Jaguares turned the ball over and booted the ball into touch.
