South Africa vs Wales: Player Focus - Evan Roos

The Stormers 8th man who recently earned his 50th cap for his club made his 6th appearance for the Springboks against Wales at Twickenham.

Roos carried on his rich form from the United Rugby Championship with high work rate on attack and damaging carries to the Welsh Defence.

In the 12th minute, Roos makes a huge carry after picking a beautiful line set up by Faf de Klerk allowing the 8th man to break the line and carry right up until the 5m. Roos offloads in contact and South Africa gets held up by Rio Dyer who gets a yellow card for doing so illegally. South Africa score shortly after.

In the 50th minute, South Africa set up a fake maul close to the try line with Roos peeling around with a powerful carry. A few phases later Roos comes charging over the line and nearly scores again before getting held up. The 8th man gets replaced for Ben Jason Dixon a couple of minutes later.
