Six academy players sign new contracts with Harlequins

Harlequins have today confirmed the re-signing of six promising Academy players ahead of the 2024/25 season.
Scrum-half Jake Murray, flankers Seb Driscoll and Zach Carr, second-row Harry Browne and Jonny Green, and hooker Jack Doorey-Palmer have committed their future to the Club.
Harlequins Head of Academy Chim Gale commented: “We’re delighted to have these six young men rewarded for their hard work with a new contract. All six have shown plenty of improvement this season, their determined to learn, develop and become consistent full-time athletes. We look forward to their continued impact in 2024/25 as they gain further experience.”
Jake Murray:
Joining from Whitgift School and Rosslyn Park, Jake Murray impressed for Harlequins U18 before making the step up to the Senior Academy in 2021/22. The scrum-half has since achieved eight first-team appearances, including Premiership Rugby Cup matches this season against Nottingham and Hartpury University. Murray has played his 2023/24 rugby with Exeter University, winning the BUCS Super Rugby title alongside Quins teammate Seb Driscoll.
Seb Driscoll:
Seb Driscoll attended Whitgift School and played his junior rugby for Old Reigatians RFC. The flanker joined Harlequins Senior Academy in 2022/23 and went on to earn honours at Wales U19 and U20 level, representing Wales at the U20 World Rugby Championship in July last year.
Zach Carr:
Zach Carr graduated into the Senior Academy in 2022/23, following a strong season for Harlequins U18. The former Dulwich College and Battersea Ironsides flanker made his first-team debut against London Irish in September 2022 and has since achieved five appearances. In 2023/24, Carr played the Premiership Rugby Cup match against Hartpury University and the friendly against Oxford University. He also represented England U20 in the 2024 Six Nations.
Harry Browne:
Harry Browne attended Brighton College and played for Rosslyn Park before joining the Senior Academy in the summer of 2022. The second-row has achieved two first-team appearances, earning selection against Hartpury University and Nottingham in the Premiership Rugby Cup, alongside selection in the friendly against Oxford University and London Scottish. Capped at England U18, U19 and U20 level, Browne represented England U20 at the 2023 World Rugby Championship and the 2024 Six Nations.
Jonny Green:
Jonny Green attended Seaford College and represented Midhurst RFC before joining the Harlequins Senior Academy in the summer of 2022. A Welshman at age-grade level, Green has played for Wales U18, U19 and U20. Green has achieved four Harlequins appearances with his debut coming against London Irish in 2022. This season he played the Premiership Rugby Cup match against Nottingham and represented Wales U20 in the 2024 Six Nations.
Jack Doorey-Palmer:
Jack Doorey-Palmer attended Worthing College and played for Worthing RFC Juniors before joining the Senior Academy in 2022/23. During his first season at the Club, the hooker achieved his first-team debut against Saracens in the Premiership Rugby Cup in 2022, before returning to Worthing RFC on loan. He has also been capped for England at U18 level.
