Sam Prendergast leads the Irish resurgence

Ireland U20's got their Six Nations defence underway with what looked like a comfortable win away in Wales on the scoreboard but in truth was all but that. Wales were ahead 20-14 after 50 minutes and managed to gain a lot of traction through the game but the last quarter proved too much for the home side as Ireland, guided by Sam Prendergast, put the hammer down to walk away with a 27-44 bonus point win.
Prendergast scored 14 points off the boot, made 100% of his tackles, beat one defender and made two try assists.
