The DHL Stormers have sustained a blow ahead of their final Vodacom Super Rugby tour match against the Western Force in Perth with confirmation that Michael Rhodes will be flying home with the hamstring injury he suffered in the win over the Waratahs.
The in-form blindside flank was always unlikely to play in the Force game as he looked in considerable discomfort when he left the field in Sydney, but the confirmation of the tear is bad news.
