Sikhumbuzo Notshe, born on 28 May 1993, is a professional rugby union player hailing from South Africa. He currently represents the Cell C Sharks in Super Rugby and Western Province in the Currie Cup, primarily playing as a flanker.

Notshe first gained recognition for his rugby prowess while attending Wynberg Boys' High School. His impressive performances for the Western Province U18 team led to his inclusion in the South African High Performance team in 2010 and the South African Schools team in 2011, showcasing his potential at a young age.

In 2013, Notshe experienced success as he helped Western Province win the U21 Currie Cup title and made his debut for the Vodacom Cup team. The following year, he made his Super Rugby debut against the Reds and made an immediate impact by scoring a try in his first game.

During the pre-season training squad for the 2014 Super Rugby season, Notshe was included in the Stormers' lineup and showcased his abilities by scoring a try in their trial match against the Boland Cavaliers.

In 2017, Notshe temporarily joined the South African sevens side, but he remained available for the Stormers during the 2018 Super Rugby season. He continued to display excellent form, contributing to Western Province's triumph in the Currie Cup.

As a result of his outstanding performances, Notshe received his first call-up to the Springboks squad ahead of the 2018 June Internationals. Alongside 16 other uncapped players, he proudly represented his country in six Tests throughout the year.

However, Notshe faced challenges with fitness and form during the 2019 season, leading to a decline in his national team opportunities.

In September 2019, it was announced that Notshe would be joining the Sharks for the 2020 Super Rugby season. With 58 Super Rugby caps and 11 tries to his name since his debut in 2014, the six-test Springbok loose forward embarked on a new chapter in his career.

Sikhumbuzo Notshe's skillset and experience make him a valuable asset to both the Sharks and Western Province. Despite facing setbacks, his determination and talent continue to make him an influential player in South African rugby. As he enters the 2020 season, fans can expect him to make a significant impact on the field.
