Pro D2 Preview: Perpignan vs Beziers

Following their relegation from the Top 14 last season after finishing at 14th place, Perpignan will kick off the Pro D2 on Thursday when they host Beziers at Stade Aime Giral.
With recruits such as Irish international opener Paddy Jackson & winger Wandile Mjekevu, Perpignan had their taste of the Top 14 last season against Stade Francais in an unfortunate 15-46 defeat.
The season quickly turned sour for the side as they recorded 15 defeats in as many days.
With experienced players such as Damien Chouly & Piula Faasalele, Perpignan will be hoping for a repeat of their 2017/2018 results when they opened the season with a 66-6 victory against Bayonne, and hopefully make an immediate comeback into the Top 14.
Having last gone to Aimé-Giral Stadium on January 5, 2018, Beziers will head into the field following a 7th place finish last season.
