Murray McCallum signs professional contract with Edinburgh

Edinburgh Rugby have announced that tighthead prop Murray McCallum,20, will graduate from the Academy and join the club on a two-year contract. 

Having represented Scotland at under 18 level, he went on to represent the Scotland U20's that beat England and Australia for the first time, in 2015/16.

Despite progressing through the age-grade systems as a loosehead prop, he recently made the switch to the other side of the front-row to pack down at tighthead prop.

 On signing his first professional deal, he said:

“I’m delighted to have signed with Edinburgh Rugby. The deal is everything I’ve been working towards and it makes all the hard work worth it.

“I can’t thank the Academy staff enough for their efforts in helping me get to this stage. Their contribution to my development both on and off the field has been immense and set me up well to have a shot at the professional game.
