Monty Ioane joins Lyon

Melbourne Rebels winger, Monty Ioane has signed a two-year deal with French side Lyon.

Ioane will join the likes of new recruits Alban Roussel, Colomiers' Pierre-Samuel Pacheco, scrum half Martin Page-Relo, South African winger Thaakir Abrahams, Valentin Simutoga, and winger Vincent Rattez. 

The 28-year-old departed Benetton just before the start of last season to move back to Melbourne – the place of his birth – and signed for Super Rugby Pacific side the Rebels.

His arrival is yet another boost to the side who are losing superstar Fijian Josua Tuisova to Racing 92 at the end of the season.
