Argentine flyer joins Exeter Chiefs
Exeter Chiefs have confirmed the signing of Argentine winger/fullback Santiago Cordero, who has signed a deal with the Devon club until the end of the season.
The 24-year-old, who can play either wing or full-back, arrives at Sandy Park with 33 caps and 11 international tries to his name - and a proven pedigree of playing top-level rugby having featured most recently in Super Rugby for the Jaguares. Full story
Richie Gray ruled out of 6 Nations opener
Scotland has confirmed that 64 test cap lock Richie Gray has suffered a calf injury which will rule him out of the 6 Nations opener against Wales this weekend.
Gray sustained the injury while representing his club in France and will remain with Toulouse this week while he continues his rehabilitation, in the hope he can rejoin the squad in the near future.
Marler & Haskell added to England squad
Joe Marler and James Haskell have been called up to train with England ahead of their opening Six Nations match against Italy this Sunday, despite being suspended from the first two rounds of the championship.
All 34 players who were named in the initial group have been retained, but head coach Eddie Jones has decided to bring in Haskell and Marler in preparation for their return. Full story
Will Hurrell joins Bath on loan
Bath Rugby have confirmed the loan signing of Bristol Rugby centre Will Hurrell until the end of the season.
Hurrell will link-up with Bath with immediate effect, after helping Bristol to an unbeaten start to their Championship campaign. Full story
Philip Snyman and Ruhan Nel ruled out of Hamilton Sevens
Springbok Sevens captain Philip Snyman and the experienced Ruhan Nel have returned to South Africa following injuries sustained at the HSBC Sydney Sevens tournament last weekend.
Snyman, who played in his 50th tournament for the Blitzboks, injured his hamstring and Nel his knee. Full story
