Marfo to miss opening two 6 Nations matches

Edinburgh and Scotland prop Darryl Marfo has been ruled out for the first two matches of the Six Nations as he continues his rehabilitation from a back injury.
Scotland look a bit stretched at loosehead prop heading into the competition with Alan Dell sidelined for the first three matches of the Six Nations.
Scotland’s opening two fixtures are against Wales and France and losing Marfo, a new find in the Scottish set-up, is a big blow.
The 27-year-old has three caps, starting in all three games of the fairly recent November International series for Scotland in which he made his debut.
“Hopefully it will start to settle but at this point there is no return date,” Edinburgh coach Richard Cockerill told BBC.
“He is still having treatment and will just continue with his rehab. There is nothing else that needs to be done – no surgical procedure.
“Hopefully he will come back to us as soon as possible.”
Meanwhile, at tighthead, Scotland will be without WP Nel, who is likely to miss the whole competition with a fractured arm, as well as Zander Fagerson, who will miss the first three rounds.
