Leicester scrape into semi-finals as Northampton keep powder dry

Leicester Tigers just about got over the line in the end.

They saved their
season by qualifying for the Aviva Premiership semi-finals next weekend,
when they will face Bath at the Recreation Ground.



They had just about enough control in the second half, but never enough to
look comfortable.

When Northampton scored with five minutes to go, they were
close to staging a dramatic finale.

But Sam Olver’s pulled conversion meant
that Leicester still had an eight-point lead and Northampton never ate into
that again.
