Josh Turnbull has committed his future to Cardiff Blues by signing a new long-term contract with the region.
The flanker's current deal was due to expire at the end of the 2017/18 season but he has put pen to paper to stretch his stay at Cardiff Arms Park beyond four years.
"It is great that Josh has decided to commit himself to Cardiff Blues and we hope to make a number of other announcements in the coming days," commented Cardiff Blues chief executive Richard Holland.
"It has been widely reported that we have a number of players out of contract at the end of the season but we are making very good progress. We're confident that Josh will be the first of several key players to sign new deals."
The 29-year-old joined Cardiff Blues from the Scarlets in 2014, and has so far made 70 appearances for the region.
