Gloucester United crash to last-gasp defeat

Gloucester United 29 Northampton Wanderers 30 Northampton inflicted a second defeat in four days on Gloucester as United kicked-off their A-League campaign with a bonus-point defeat.

After the first team were comprehensively put to the sword by the Franklin’s Gardens outfit in the Premiership on Friday it looked as though Peter Buxton’s men would make some amends.

They roared into a 21-6 lead thanks to tries from Billy Burns, Will Safe and Steph Reynolds.
